Work out and give the answer in standard form, ( 9 X 10^5 ) / ( 2 X 10^-4) , Im getting confused with either taking away both of the standard form indices away from each other or adding because of BIDMAS and the division sign, stating that you must take away the indices.

(9/2) *10^(5-(-4)) = 4.5 * 10^9

Ah yes, so the rules of BIDMAS apply always in these questions too as well as the standard form rules ? :)
