Can someone please list the functions of the plasma membrane please ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The plasma membrane is a very important structure which functions to allow certain substances to enter or leave the cell. It can "pump" other substance into the cell against the concentration gradient or pump other "wastes" etc. out of the cell. The plasma membrane will allow certain substances to cross it but not others!

Yes, the plasma membrane has a "semi-permeable" membrane, meaning that It regulates what enters and leaves the cell. The plasma membrane allows some substances to pass through its membrane and other substances to be pumped out of the cell.
