Im not sure about difference between Froyo and Ginerbread, but the biggest difference in Honeycomb is the support for larger screen formats.   There are also a number of new API's like fragments that make it possible to put multiple Actions on the same screen.  Another API of note in Honeycomb is the Menubar.   Most of the changes relate to larger screens making it easier to develop for tablets.    Ice Cream Sandwich will merge a number of changes in gingerbread and honeycomb to make a unified platform for tablets and smart phones.
