I dont think there is any cure for asthma. Most asthmatic individuals just grow out of it. but you can avoid making it worse though.

Asthma attack can be cured by bronchodilators.To prevent asthma attack one can take prophylactic medicines.To cure asthma is quite not possible but reducing the episodes to near zero is possible by avoiding the irritant or allergic substance and preventing upper respiratory infection.

You cannot cure it, but a doctor can treat it in an emergency with bronchodilators, oxygen, and epinephrine. MD may also prescribe steroids to inhale for use every day which will help in the long run, but not in an emergency. Sometimes MD will prescribe steroids in pill form. They also may prescribe leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRAs) which are in a pill form and work by blocking the action of substances that cause airway swelling and tightening.
