when would you use a problem like evaluating each determinant in real life?
Consumer tastes/preferences -- e.g. small cars versus big cars Number of buyers in the market -- e.g. population growth Buyers income -- e.g. changes in per capita incomes Seasonal factors -- e.g. weather, holidays Consumer expectations of future prices and income -- e.g real estate prices
Great! thanks so much!
thanks.
You will use a lot of determinants in multivariate calculus. Believe it or not, they make some theories easier to understand if you can use minor determinants!
Also in Geometry: Calculating volumes of parallelepiped (determinant of 3, 3dimensional vectors - | vector(1);vector(2);vector(3)|
hahaha if that isn't enough i could easily go get my linear book and look up the chapter on : Applications of determinants
