ohh. see, the general formula is ax^2 + bx + c = 0. first, you need to find 2 numbers which, when added, will give you b, and when multiplied, will give you a*c.

ok see here : \[x^2-5x-6\] \[x^2-6x+x-6\] \[x(x-6)+1(x-6)\] \[(x+1)(x-6)\] \[x+1=0,x=-1\] \[x-6=0,x=6\]

OpenStudy (aravindg):

what we do here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
