2a - 1 = 21 2a = 22 a = 11
2 a-1/3 = 7 Add 1/3 to both sides: 2 a = 22/3 Divide both sides by 2: a = 11/3
\[2a-\frac{1}3=7\] \[2a=7+\frac{1}3\] \[2a=\frac{22}3\] \[6a=22\] \[a=\frac{22}6\] \[a=\frac{11}3\]
so then would i divide 11 by 3 or is my final answer going to bed 11/3?
