The best way to remember what you've learned is to use as many of your senses as you can.
Write, and rewrite your notes or definitions (sight).
Type them into a word document (something different from writing, to help your brain remember).  Then print them out and read them, out loud, to yourself, over and over (sight and sound).

When you write, and read, and hear it that many times, you almost can't help but remember it.  Good luck!
