In log x  y = z, which variable(s) can never be equal to 1?

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

if logx * y = z then y = z/log(x), where z nonzero x can not be 1, otherwise there will be division by 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so z can never be 1?

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

x can not be 1, otherwise log(1) = 0 then we will have z/0, which is illegal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, thank you
