In one week, Kean ate a total of 8 ounces of grains at breakfast, 14 ounces of grains at lunch, and 16 ounces of grains at dinner. Which of the following shows a simplified ratio of his servings of grain at lunch to his total weekly servings of grain? A. 19/7 B. 7:12 C. 7 to 19 D. 8:11

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

There are 14 oz of grain eaten at lunch and a total of 8+14+16 = 38 oz of grain eaten weekly So the ratio is 14:38 which reduces to 7:19 when you divide both components by the GCF 2
