I'm writing a compare and contrast about A Brave New World and the movie Gattaca. Would someone want to help me focus my ideas and points?
Thesis: While both dystopias depict societies that are engineered to function flawlessly by governments incorporating genetic alteration so that human inconveniences may be eradicated, in A Brave New World each member of the world state is categorized into castes that ensures the happiness and stability of the entire state, whereas in the movie Gattaca, the high class and wealthy design their offspring to be genetically superior, rendering the unenhanced, or traditionally born, inferior.

I need help lol
I have not read, or seen, either of these, so I cannot help you with the content of your paper. But, I will tell you that you are going to have to shorten your thesis by a lot. This is one long sentence. Keep your sentences to less than 10 words. Also, a thesis should only be 1 or 2 sentences.
Thanks, I shortened it
I've watched the movie a million times during high school and I remember reading the book so I could probably help you. Can you give me your main points? And perhaps I might be able to help you expand from there
I would say the most significant differences between Brave New World and Gattica is that the latter does not emphasize the medication/anesthetization of society as a systematic control mechanism. In Gattica, if you're born without genetic alteration you more or less accept your lot...rebellion against that was Ethan Hawke's main characteristic. In Brave New World, the complacency was derived from Soma (a medication) and vast amounts of distraction.
