jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

again, these are equal so 2x = 7x-35 ---------------- now solve 2x = 7x-35 2x - 7x = -35 -5x = -35 x = -35/(-5) x = 7 So 2x = 2(7) = 14 and 7x-35 = 7(7)-35 = 49 - 35 = 14

How did it become -35?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

its in 7x-35 (the right hand angle)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x+10 and 4x-4 ? So 2x + 4x OR 2x-4x?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

this a new problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
