OpenStudy (dboyette):

consider a population with U=77.6 and o=5.63. a. calculate the z-score for x=76.1 from a sample size of 52. b. could this z-score be used in calculation probabilities using the the table?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

just modify the original equaiton by multiplying by sqrt(52) i believe

OpenStudy (amistre64):

76.1-77.6 --------- * sqrt(52) = zscore 5.63

OpenStudy (dboyette):

I see

OpenStudy (amistre64):

-1.92 is what i get if i do that. It has something to do with the size of the sample being so small
