Since this has a definite pattern which repeats it is a rational number. Rational numbers are numbers which can be defined as a/b where a and b are integers. Please Like Tutor Sean on facebook. rational for sure. i assume you mean the 6's repeat. if not it is certainly rational, and if so it is also rational because any repeating decimal is rational

put \[x=2.166666...\] \[10x=21.6666...\] subtract and get \[10x-x=19.5\] \]9x=19.5\] \[x=\frac{19.5}{9}=\frac{195}{90}=\frac{13}{6}\] so you your number is \[-\frac{13}{6}\] you can check this is right with a caclulator.
