Suppose that f(x)=4x+7 and g(x)=2x. What is a rule for g(f(x))? What is a rule for f(g(x))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find f(g(x)), you must substitute g(x) for every "x" you find in f(x). So... f(g(x)) = 4(2x)+7 Simplified, f(g(x)) = 8x + 7 To find g(f(x)), use the same steps. Just substitute f(x) for every "x" you find in g(x)
