5a=6 b=a-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you have two equations, you can find two variables. Solve for "a" in the first equation. Then plug it into the second equation to find "b" a = 6/5 b = (6/5) - 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would that be the final answer? Or could I continue to find what "b" is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, you can continue to simplify "b"... b = (6/5) - (10/5) b = -(4/5)
