i need help how to convert 220volts to kilowatt???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://www.overclock.net/faqs/42271-how-convert-between-watts-amps-volts.html. then you would multiply times 1000 cause thats what kilo stands for.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is not possible in the purely physical sense, since Kilowatts is a unit of power (energy divided by time), and Volts is a unit of potential difference (Energy multiplied by distance). You cannot convert one into the other without knowing some other physical parameters of the electric circuit. For example if you know the current flowing in a circuit then the Power is given by the product of the current \(I\) and voltage \(V\) i.e. \[P=IV\]. If you know the resistance \(R\) of the circuit then Power is given by \[P=\frac{V^2}{R}\]
