OpenStudy (trancenova):

Fun Fact #36: Meet Portia, this is a genus of very freaky spiders. They plan their attack in order to lure their prey so they can safely attack. These spiders hunt other spiders with strategies such as pretending to be caught in their victims spiders web, luring prey (with food) to the other spiders web so that it might get caught and attract the attention of the target spider. They are known to perform vibrations on their victims web for up to 3 days waiting for the other spider to investigate. Not only this they develop their strategies through trial and error as they go along. Creepy huh?

Did I mention that the Queensland species (from Australia) has a 92% success rate in capturing their web building spider prey. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portia_%28spider%29 and heaps of help from Waylander!
