The sum of the digits of a two digit number is 8. The tens' digit is 2 less than the one's digit. What is the number?

Let one's digit be X. Therefore the tens' digit is X-2 ( as stated ) Now X-2 + X = 8 2X = 10 X = 5 therefore your number is 35
