Differentiate. (v^3-2v(v^.5))/v the answer is (2v-1)/v^5 but i need help with the steps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(v^3-2v(v^.5)) simplifies to: v^3-2v^1.5 dividing by v gives: v^2-2v^0.5 Then you differentiate the parts of the sum independently, and add them back together: 2v-v^(-0.5) or 2v-1/sqrt(v) You forgot the "." before the "5" exponent you put in the denominator.

i have to use the quotient rule |dw:1316562855452:dw|
