What about... Having a group that consists of all of the questions being asked not just in a single subject. It would allow the questions that are not being answered immediately in their specified group to be answered.

Hmm..Well in the math section, there are way more students posting questions than others answering them..Esp during the day (if you ever witness it)..Its more like questions after questions..And if we put all the sections together, maybe one type of question from the specific subject would "hog" the whole thing? =/
