cast a shadow and draw it lightly first then make it dark

Draw your stuff with a constant light source (or sources). Add directional shadows and shade objects based on the way the light would hit them. Observe actual objects to practice.

i use google sketch up to draw 3D it is user friendly and u can find many tutorials on youtube
