Can I take Doxycycline and Azithromycin together? I need to know if it is safe to take Doxycycline and Azithromycin together. I am not looking for ask your doctor or answers like that. I just need to know if these two drugs interact with each other.

although you are not looking for "ask your doctor", because of liabilities, it's always important to tell you to ask your doctor. this is in order to establish a documented visit with accountability on both ends and to assure that any answer given here is not medical advice and therefore not liable. with that said, i checked two drug interaction references. there were no interactions listed when the two drugs are taken together.

I second her post to "Ask your Doctor." Those are both antibiotics, you should not be taking antibiotics without consulting a doctor. Each antibiotic works on specific bacteria; it is important to take the proper antibiotic for the type of bacteria you have. It is the doctor's job to determine the proper antibiotic, not yours.
