Why are cell parts and processes important to the survival of living things?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, we are essential elements that compose into cells. and those certain cells play functions, either eating and recycling our material, or just basic enzymes being produce and coded for. if one of these fail to do their job, there can be some severe consequences. hope this is solid enough for you to understand. if we do not have a mitochondria in our eukaryotic cells we cannot use ATP/ADP(energy!) up. :o how will we survive without using energy.
