The slope of a line is undefined. What is the slope of the line that is perpendicular to it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mysterious?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

undfined slope means vertical; perpendicular then means horizontal. horizontal lines have slope equal to zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope is the measure of the rate of increase/decrease of a line; horizontal lines neither increase nor decrease, thus slope=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find the slope of any line you could use "rise over run" the rise in a horizontal line is 0 so whatever the run may be (1, 2, 3, ect) if you put 0/2 it will be 0
