you forgot the three digit access code for your garage door. The first digit is three and the last two digits are odd numbers .How many codes are possible?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is \[3,\text{odd },\text{odd}\] and so in each spot you have a possibilty of five odd numbers \[1,3,5,7,9\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

25 because from 1 to 10 there are only 5 odd numbers, so you need 2 of them, thats why you get the square of 5, wich is 25: 25 ---> answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by the "counting principle" there are \[5\times 5=25\] possibilities
