solve cos(4 *theta)+sin(5*theta)=2

OpenStudy (jamesj):

Forget what I said earlier. Note that the maximum value of both cos and sin is 1. So if the sum of them is equal to two, then both functions must attain their max. Well, cos x is at its max when x = 2kpi for all integers k and sin x is at its max when x = pi/2 + 2kpi for all integers k So it is now clear what the value of theta must be, yes?
