How to solve this?help me please... :For what value of x will the points (0,3) ,(1,4) and (2x) be collinear? Please give me the formula...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you mean \[(2,x)\] right

OpenStudy (amistre64):

0,1,2 3,4,5 is my guess

OpenStudy (jamesj):

What I would do first if you don't know how to tackle this is draw a diagram. Market in it (0,3) and (1,4) and carefully draw the straight line between them. Then see on the graph what the value of (2,x) is to be on that line. Then you can figure out the algebra afterwards when you already know the answer.

each single increase in the first coordinate gives a single increase in the second so i agree with amistre, it should be \[(2,5)\]

i'll try it thanks a lot
