Can a president pardon and ex president from impeachment?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, Ford did it with Nixon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, Nixon did not get impeached, he resigned before he could get in trouble. if a president is impeached and a new president comes up. he can't pardon the ex president, because if he did, that means, the ex president is the president again. and it doesn't work that way but it is possible i am wrong and i misunderstood the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think an "ex-president" can be impeached.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If a President is impeached, he can be pardoned, depending on the crime and the attitude of the president. Ford pardoned Nixon from theft and lying so he wasn't put on trial.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

he can be pardoned, but not un-impeached
