What is a GCF and how do you find it?
it is the largest factor that 2 or more numbers have in common ... unless its an anacronym for something else
basically it's the largest number that which both numbers can be divided by evenly
say we have 2 numbers; 8 and 12, we can list their factors 1,2, 4, 8 1,2,3,4,6, 12 ^ for is the greatest factor that they have in common
for .. lol. 4 is the yadayada
How do you find it when you have a polynomial?
same same .. except for variables it is the most number of variables they have in common
an example that you might have in mind would be useful
5x^3+25x^2+45x
term factors 5x^3: 1,5 xxx 25x^2: 1,5,25 xx 45x: 1,5,9,45 x the largest number they have in common is 5 the most number of xs they have in common is 1x put this together to make: 5x
OMG ! THANK YOU YOUR LIKE A MATH GOD ! LOL :D
