The x^2 cancel out and 12/4=3, leaving -7x+3 as the answer for this one, but we're not done yet.

Sorry my bad. I looked over it again and got it wrong. It should be -7x-3 for the first (I forgot it was -4 on the bottom.

-7x-3/2

Add like terms -3 and 2, which equals -1.
