Multiply and simplify: ((x^2-4)/(x^2-7x+12))/((x-2)/(x-4)) Gah! can't/ Don't get it:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2-7x+12 ---------- x^2-4 The x^2 cancel out and 12/4=3, leaving -7x+3 as the answer for this one, but we're not done yet. x-4 ---- x-2 The x 's cancel out and -4/-2= 2. Now the problem is simplified and looks like this: -7x+3/2 Add the like terms, which are 3 and 2. Final answer is -7x/5.

Sorry my bad. I looked over it again and got it wrong. It should be -7x-3 for the first (I forgot it was -4 on the bottom. -7x-3/2 Add like terms -3 and 2, which equals -1. Final answer: -7x-1
