OpenStudy (amistre64):
an "a" value is either defined as the area in the tail, or as the zscore associated with it. Im inclined to say its area tho

OpenStudy (amistre64):
shaded area IS critical region; so its the H1
now to determine if "a" is the value of the shade or the value of the zscore
OpenStudy (amistre64):
Za is denoted as the test statistic, so "a" itself is the value of the defined area of the critical region
OpenStudy (amistre64):
as the region gets larger; the area increases
OpenStudy (amistre64):
so id say the answer is false
OpenStudy (dboyette):
oh ok it's and increase in bothh
