A ball is thrown upward from the top of an 80 ft. building so that its height in feet above the ground after t seconds is : h(t) = -16t^2 + 64t + 80 a) Find the average velocity over the interval [0,2] b) What is the ball's maximum height above the ground? c) For what values of t is the ball falling?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Average velocity will be (h(2)-h(0)) / (2 - 0)

The maximum height can be found by finding the vertex of the parabola and the ball is falling for any t value greater than the t value at the maximum point
