d - 1 > -3 and d + 2 < 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Part 1: The solution is x > 5 and x<=9. Part 2: There would be an open circle on 5 and a closed circle on 9. Part 3: The shading is between the two numbers. Be sure that you have included all three parts when answering each question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get part 1 bt not 2 n 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think i get 1 im not sure tho

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Sorry, but wht's the main question?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

hellO/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im here and its not really a question i have to do 3 parts tht is wat the sample is

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

so, wht's this: d - 1 > -3 and d + 2 < 5

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

i can answer that but i can't get wht's the main question. lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to solve tht for part 1 i did tht then i have to say weather or not its a closed circle or open circle for part 2

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

OH, alright. now i get ittttttt. :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lozl:DD ur soo smart i swear

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Part 1: d - 1 > -3 and d + 2 < 5 d > -2 and d < -3 Part 2: There would be an open circle for both.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Part three: shade the mille part.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

middle*

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

haha, thanks hun.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np :)

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-5 < 2y - 3 < 23 thats all it gave me this time

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

yes this will be solved as: -5 < 2y -3 AND 2y - 3 < 23

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

-5 < 2y -3 AND 2y - 3 < 23 -1 < y AND y < 13

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

so finally, -1 < y < 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lozl which part is tht..?? so confuuused haha

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

there will be just one part.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

-5 < 2y -3 AND 2y - 3 < 23 -5 < 2y -3 AND 2y - 3 < 23 -1 < y AND y < 13 so finally, -1 < y < 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh >.< lozl so it wont be open or closed circle?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Umm, wait. if you want the answer that way. then: Part A = -1 < y AND y < 13 Part B = Open circle for both. Part C = Shade in the middle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ty ty ty

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

uw uw uw.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

damn is this stuff really tht easy to u hun?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Yes it is... :D

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

idk what teachers are doing at your place. LOL.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

teachers arent doing pellet here they are all just as stupid as the kids they try to teach. i thsnk god im just horrible at math everything else i am in honors gifted and advanced placement hahaha

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

HAHA. that's the same problem for many people in US. they aren't good in math.. but in others... they are great.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lozl i wonder hahaha do u mind doing one more?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Sure, Sure.. post it.. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x - 4 < 5 or x + 2 > 15

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Part A: x - 4 < 5 or x + 2 > 15 x < 9 or x > 13 Part B: open circle for both. Part C: Shade the outer part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

MUAH! u so good to meh hahahaha

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

haha, thanks!!! ^_^ Muah back.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x - 4 > 6 or -4x + 5 > 1 I forgot one :'/

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

No Problem hun. let me solve.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Part A: x > 2 and x <1 Part B: Open Dots for both. Part C: The outer part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aww ur the greatest thanx love

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

you welcome!! :) i will email you the assingments in some hours.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
