well since it is a an abosulute value it can be negative or postitive,
okay her is the first one
l2x+7l<3
2x+7<3
solve that which is equal to x<-2
then you gotta do the negative way too
-2x+7<3
divide by -1
2x+7>-3 (when dividing by a negative, always switch signs
then you get x>-5
i think thats how u do it or what u meant...
