think of it this way: the set of teenagers sits inside the set of people under twenty. so i i am in the smaller set (teenagers) i must also be inside the larger set

and without meaning to seem to give you a hard time, if it wasn't because you were taking some math/logic class you would not think twice about this. if a friend told you his son was a teenager, you would know immediately his son was under 20
