OpenStudy (trancenova):

Fun Fact #39: Let me tell you now that the Blanket Octopus (Tremoctopus) is not at all nice and fuzzy (figuratively speaking of course, its probably all cold and slimy). This octopus is not only immune to the highly poisonous Portuguese man o' war (a 'jellyfish' that can paralyse other fish and prey; if you get stung it hurts like billy-o and can kill you -though rare) but the male and young female Blanket Octopus will detach the man o' war's own stingers and use them as weapons against other sea creatures. If you think this octopus inks when it gets scared then you are mistaken.

OpenStudy (trancenova):

In the case of the female she has 'webbing' between her tentacles and if threatened she will spread this out making her look huge and scary to any attacker.
