Factor: 12x^2 - 23

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this won't factor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how comes? id like to learn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is no common factor of 12 and 23 and x^2 is in one term only

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12x^2 = 23 x^2 = 23/12 x = ±sqrt(23/12) so it could factor to (x+sqrt(23/12))(x-sqrt(23/12))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but I'm more inclined to agree with jimmyrep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thanx jimmyrep:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u too tbates

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no probs

OpenStudy (anonymous):
