this is ridiculous! find the area of the triangle ABC, if A = 135 degrees, a = sqrt3, and c = 1. here's a pic to show it in online calculators (i had to go this far to try and solve it because i thought i was doing something wrong but...), the answer i got on paper is the same as what these calculators give, 0.3, which is not an option -_- calcs http://rmage93.fileave.com/stupid5.png

from law of sine's find b then from there u can solve the whole thing
yes, i did all of that, but i dont get the answer i need. trust me. try it yourself and look at the answers that are available. its none of them. i get 0.3
look at the picture i put up so you can see what im talking about
give me a sec to actually solve it
okay.. yeah use law of sines to find the angle C, then subtract that from 180 to get B, then use B in the law of cosines to solve for side b, then use it in the formula 1/2abCosC or whichever side angles you want to use and you will see ~0.3
and as you can see the answers make it seem like there should be some quicker way of doing it. they're in fraction form... but idk for sure :/
A = sin(B) sqrt(3)/2
good one amistre65 !
sin(B)/b = sin(135)/sqrt(3) = sin(C)|dw:1316814189338:dw|
