I have a question regarding Works Cited, MLA Format. When an author has a last name with a hyphen (e.g. Jimmy Santiago-Baca) do I alphabatize using Santiago or Baca?

Santiago.

Does this help? http://www.ehow.com/how_8449861_alphabetize-names-hyphens.html This is general rule about alphabetizing hypenated last names. There seems to be more resources about dealing with APA than MLA on the internet. Usually I use the Owl Purdue site for MLA questions.

Alphabetize by Santiago.
