Find the equation in standard form for each line with the given information. g(-1) = 7 and g(2) = 1

The points are defined as (-1,7) and (2,1). If you do y= \[(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) \] you can get the slope. Therefore, 1-7/2-(-1) you get -6/3 which is a slope of -2. You can start your equation by doing y=-2x + b. If you know the slope, evaluate x at 0. If you do that, the y value is 0. so your function is y=-2x.
