Since the perimeter of a rectangle is 2L + 2W you can just put together a quick formula with what you were given: 90cm = 2(W + 9) + 2W Now just solve for W: \[90 = 2(W+9)+2W\]\[90 = 2W + 18 + 2W = 4W + 18\]\[90\]\[90-18 = 4W = \] \[72 = 4W\]\[W = 18\] So 2 sides are 18cm and the other 2 are 27
