A= ½ (b1 +b2) solve for b

i'm going to assume that you want to solve for b1 (the p[rocess would be exactly the same as solving for b2, you would just write b1 everywhere i have b2, and vice versa) 2A = b1 + b2 (multiply through by 2 to clear denominators) 2A - b2 = b1 (subtract b2 from both sides) b1=2A -b2 (conventional to write the variable solved for on the left)
