a parallelogram has a base of 24 mm and height of 12 mm. Circle inside the parallelogram has a radius of 4 mm. Remaining area outside circle but inside parallelogram is shaded. Find the area of the shaded region.

area of the circle is 4 x 4 x 3.14 = 50.24 area of parallelogram is 24 x 12 = 288 area shaded = 288 - 50.24 = 237.76
