-7/11 x 5 1/24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

negative 7 over 11 times five and 1 twenty fourth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-77/24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-7/11 * 5 1/24 First, 5 1/24 will become 24*5/24 + 1/24 which gives us 121/24 So we have -7/11 * 121/24 We multiply numerator by numerator and denominator by denominator. -7*121/11*24 -847/264 This factors down to the -77/24 that madscientist101 mentioned. Hope this helps. Thanks, Sean Walsh Facebook: Tutor Sean http://www.tutorsean.net

Wow thanks You are really smart :DHehe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me with this :D 4 14/15 x 1 7/38 Thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 * 15/15 + 14/15 = 60/15+14/15 = 74/15 1 * 38/38 + 7/38 = 45/38 Now multiply these. 74/15 * 45/38. =3330/570 lowering the factors gives us: 111/19 Thanks, Sean Walsh Facebook: Tutor Sean http://www.tutorsean.net

i only have 1 more problem...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

16b/7 x 35b^3/4 ^3 means to the 3ed power.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

16b/7 * 35(b^3)/4 So we have a law of exponents here. When we multiply exponents, we add the powers. So we have 16b * 35b^3. This becomes 560b^4 for the numerator. Now we have 7*4 which is 28. So we have 560b^4/28. This can be rewritten as (560/28)*b^4. Now we can divide the numbers. 20b^4. Hope this helps. Thanks, Sean Walsh Facebook: Tutor Sean http://www.tutorsean.net
