A shell is fired from a field gun with a speed of 128 m/s. The gun's barrel forms a 60 degree angle with the horizontal velocity of the shell. The time the shell remains in the air? The horizontal distance the shell travels?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the up and over vectors are the sin and cos components of the angle of elevation. -4.9 t^2 +128 sin(60) t = 0 gives the time and 128 cos(60) t gives the distance
