Brianna has the test scores: 90, 90, 91, 89, 91, 89, 90, 90. (Just you you dont have to waste time on your work: mean is 90) What is her mean deviation, variation, and standard variation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

standard variation or deviation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so u need to find out mean deviation, variation, and standard variation and standard deviation?

hero (hero):

Are you serious? I thought this was hard, lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hero the genius:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im just starting this section, and idk if im right on most of m answers

hero (hero):

I thought you posted a calc question or something

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dunno anything bout this... just typed into google to see wat it was... sorry! i can't answer:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, just deviations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

google wat each thing like deviation n stuff means jiwani... then try to use ur understanding to solve the question... that is unless no one knows how to solve this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

n if u still don't get it, ask ur teachers... good luck wif solving! bye:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well... i think i got it, but im not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha came here for a few sec... got it alrd jiwani?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sigma = {\\[\sigm\[a = \sqrt{\Sigma}(x-mean)^2\div n\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats to calculate the standard deviation or you can use your calculator by using the stat mode enter all the values as 'X' values and calc std deviation. Standard Deviation = 0.71..Variance =0.50 and the mean deviation is ( mean - Std. deviation; mean+ Std. deviation ) = 90-0.71; 90+0.71
