the long family are going to install a pool. rectangular pool, 10.5m x 3.5m for $22500 the tiles for the surrounds are 50cm x 50cm and cost $75 per square meters laid. if tiles need to be cut it costs $8.50 per cut. i need to know the cost of the pool, the area of tiles needed (m2), the number of tiles that have to be cut, cost of tiles including cutting and the total cost.

OpenStudy (radar):

"tiles for the surrounds", I am assuming is for the bottom, and the four sides. Thus not knowing the depth, not enough data is provided. Then I assume, maybe, it is the border around the pool, but not knowing the width of the tile border leaves me in a lurch. As for as finding the cost of the pool, the problem states its cost is $22500
