The equation y=54.5+23.5Sin[(πt/6) -( 2pi/3)] models the average monthly temperature of Springfield ,Missouri.In this equation ,t denotes the number of the months with January represented by 1.During which two months is the average temperature 545?
From the attached plot, {4,April} and {10,October}
what is period?
how you draw a picture?
The plot was drawn with the following Mathematica 8 program statement:\[\text{Plot}[\{54.5+23.5\text{ Sin}[(\pi t/6)-(2\pi /3)],54.5\},\{t,0,12\}] \]The red line on the plot is y = 54.5
what period and pase shift ?
period 12 months?
I know draw a line , but I don't get how answer 4 and 10
"During which two months is the average temperature 545?" is the problem question. 545 looks like an error. It appears that there should have been a decimal point preceding the right most 5 symbol. The two points defined by the intersection of the line and the average temperature model plot answers the problem question as far as I can see.
54.5 is correct, I type wrong . Your answer is correct. I can draw picture ,but I don't know how to get answer april and october ?
look on the graph my answer is March and september is average 54.5
"t denotes the number of the months with January represented by 1." 1=January, 2= February, 3=March, 4=April, . . ., 10 October, 11 November and 12 December.
yes, I get from here
ty,robtbey i get is now
Have a nice day.
