coastal communities often experience milder winters and cooler summers than further inland because? a. the mist from the ocean spray makes the coastal winter much milder b.oceans absorb heat more slowly, which has a cooling effect on land c. they are always located at sea level, where temperatures are milder d. oceans absorb heat more quickly, which has a cooling effect on land neeeed help so bad please help
I would say d because when your talking about differential heating oceans can absorb much more heat than the land can therefore making the land cooler.
land heats up alot quicker than the sea because solids heat quicker than liquids ... however liquids cool down alot slower than solids and so this is why coastal areas have milder winters. i hope this helps! :D
Yeah, Basically because water takes so much energy to heat up AND because the ocean contains so much water the ocean remains roughly the same temperature while the land starts changing as soon as the sun comes up. Land temperature is influenced by the air temperature around it and the air temperature is cool from the cool ocean. -Though I'm not sure if this would be classed as oceans absorbing heat more 'quickly' or 'slowly'
thanks guys <3
